Here is the run-down:
Apprenticeship focuses on hands-on learning through a variety of tasks, including planting, weeding, watering, mulching, and harvesting.
In search of herbal apprentices interested in learning how to grow and harvest medicinal herbs.
I need help weeding, harvesting, and processing medicinal herbs on our farm.
These are unpaid positions but you will receive hands-on experience, mentorship, and an abundance of fresh medicinal herbs you can dry to make your own remedies.
- I am looking for folks who have Monday and Tuesday daytime availability and/or some weeknight evening availability (M-W)
- I am looking for folks who can adapt to my availability. My schedule is very chaotic and busy so times may not always be consistent.
- Preference will be given to folks who can commit to one or two shifts per week.
Each week or two, I will send out a list of available dates for the coming weeks.

Requirements:
Time commitment: 8 hours per month through the end of November
Most Monday-Wednesday mornings February-November 9am-1pm
(or 9 am - 3 pm)
Must be willing to work at the farm at least 3 times per month for 4-hour shifts (or come once per month for a 6-8 hour shift)
Must be willing to work in various weather conditions Come with a positive attitude and willing to be a part of an intimate and inclusive herbal community Commit to the work Must have transportation This is an unpaid position
We will cover:
- Propagation Techniques including growing from seed, stem propagation, root division, transplanting
- Requirements for plants (sun, water, spacing, maintenance)
- Weeding techniques (sheet mulching, tools for cultivation, occultation, solarization, cover crops)
- Harvesting and drying techniques and methods
- Basic herbal remedies
