LEARN HOW TO GROW, CULTIVATE, HARVEST, AND PROCESS MEDICINAL HERBS. STOCK YOUR HOME APOTHECARY WITH A MYRIAD OF HERBAL REMEDIES

We will cover:

- Propagation Techniques, including growing from seed, stem propagation, root division, transplanting

- Requirements for plants (sun, water, spacing, maintenance)

- Weeding techniques (sheet mulching, tools for cultivation, occultation, solarization, cover crops)

- Harvesting and drying techniques and methods 

- Basic herbal preparations (tinctures, glycerin extracts, tea blends, oxymels, syrups, infused honey, pastilles, salves)

Requirements:

- Must be willing to work at the farm for 1 hour during each session (hands-on learning through a variety of tasks including planting, weeding, watering, mulching, and harvesting). Must be willing to work in various weather conditions 

- Come with a positive attitude and willing to be a part of an intimate and inclusive herbal community

- Commit to all sessions

- Must have transportation 

-Bring required supplies each session (jars, supplies for tinctures, oxymels, and oil infusions (vodka, vinegar, olive oil)

It gets very hot in the summer at the farm so we will meet in the mornings in summer.
