The Foraging through the Seasons Program will cover:

• Introduction to foraging, plant identification
• Ethics of foraging: Participants will gain an understanding of the ethics of foraging. 
• This will include information about at-risk plants in Missouri/midwest region, ecosystem conservation, and basic guidelines/ rules for foraging.
• Foraging invasive species
• Foraging safety: This will include information about where foraging is allowed, precautions to take when foraging, where and when not to forage
• Resources for foraging (field guides, books)
• Importance of binomial nomenclature in foraging
• Urban, Suburban, and Rural foraging basics
• Seasonal foraging in the Midwest
• Learn common plants and mushrooms to forage in the spring
• Learn common plants and mushrooms to forage in the summer
• Learn common plants and mushrooms to forage in the fall
